Deepen your practice at home

If you have hit a wall with your practice (as we all do from time to time), one thing to take a look at is home practice.  If you do not practice at home you have a golden opportunity to go deeper, as well as keep your focus between classes.
Home practice offers the opportunity to break down movements and really spend time with some movements that just come and go in the course of a regular class.  Maybe you choose a movement that that you find very challenging, and would like to get better at; or maybe just stay longer in poses that you enjoy. Just remember to always take your time to warm the body up and ease in to your practice at home.
When you are able to better understand an harmonize with any one posture, you will automatically be in better harmony and improve your understanding of all  postures.

Quick and easy shake

If you are like me and have a sweet tooth, then you are always looking out for tasty but health alternatives.  This is a great shake that I drank a lot of this weekend.  I got the recipe from Mathew Kenney and Sarma Malngailis' new book Raw Food, Real World.

It's easy and tastes great.

3 cups frozen diced bannana
2 cups Brazil nut milk or almond milk
3 tablespoons agave nectar or 2 packets stevia
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 heaping tablespoons organic cocoa powder or carob powder.
pinch of sea salt.

Just mix it all up in a blender until smooth and creamy.

Try it, and let me know how you like it
